COMMUNICATION AVENUE ACADEMY

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Communication Avenue Academy. Our aim is to provide a work place where young people can grow, learn valuable life skills and give them somewhere for their goals and ambitions to be are nurtured. In May to July 2013, 960,000 people aged 16-24 were unemployed. With that in mind and in an attempt to encourage young people back to work, we will be giving back to the community by launching our Apprentice programme.
We are opening up opportunities to develop skills in many areas around the business, such as sales, outsourcing, accounts, customer service, production, QA and office administration. Our experienced staff will aid new apprentices by passing on their knowledge & skills with on the job training.
As a company we have a history of developing young talent, three employees have already completed role-related NVQ’s while in our employment;
Matt Seymour our Online Services Executive has worked here since May 2012, Matt is coming to the end of his Business Administration Level 3 NVQ. Matt says “The NVQ helped ease me into my job role by teaching me all the basic aspects of working in an office environment. I feel that anyone thinking of joining the academy at Communication Avenue should jump at the opportunity, as there is so much room and time provided for professional & personal growth within the company.”
Kirsty Dunlop our Accounts Assistant has worked with us since May 2012, Kirsty did her Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration. Kirsty says “The NVQ helped me in my role when I became Customer Service & Reception Assistant. It helped me conduct myself in a suitable way for an office environment.”
Sarah Culpin our Operations Support Executive has worked with us since May 2010. Sarah is currently coming to the end of her Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration. Sarah says “Already the NVQ has helped me manage my time and prioritise my work load, making me more productive. I feel more confident preparing for and delivering a presentation to a room full of people” All 3 are rising stars within the company and continue to show potential.
As of September 2013 we are pleased to announce that we have recruited 4 new apprentices to join our ever growing business. Our new Apprentices will be working towards nationally recognised qualifications, under the guidance of Quality & Customer Service Manager Gemma Pearce.
Communication Avenue embraces the Modern apprentice as a new way to add to our work force. With plans to provide more apprentice positions in the near future, it’s an exciting time for all involved in the Academy. Special thanks to: CEO Phil Lightfoot, Commercial Director Simon Fieldstead, Sales Director Mike Allen, Quality & Customer Service Manager Gemma Pearce & Gemma Munro HR Manager, all of whom have championed and embraced the concept of the Communication Avenue Academy from the very start to its fruition.
